TAYLOR, Mich. Aug. 15, 2014 - Atlas Oil Company announced today the opening of its 4th crude transloading site in Evans, Colorado. The company's other sites are located in Albuquerque, NM, La Feria, TX and Monahans, TX. The site is on the Union Pacific Railroad (a class 1 railroad in the region) and the crude is being produced from the expanding Niobrara Shale. We expect minimum throughput from this location of 60,000 barrels per month.
"We plan to start shipping manifest (single cars) of crude while developing a strategy to expand to unit train shipments as the basin grows," said Scott Swanson, Director of Business Development. "The timing of the opening is ideal as it also complements our frac-fueling business and soon-to-be crude hauling operations in the area."
As our domestic oil production industry continues to grow, Atlas is prepared to support drilling and exploration companies with their fuel and transportation needs. Atlas can be a single source provider for oilfield services.
Atlas' Oilfield Services include:
- Frac Site Fueling
- Crude Oil Hauling
- Crude Transloading
"We offer complete 24/7 operations and pride ourselves on our attention to details and exceptional safety procedures. From on-site personnel to sales and back office support, our team delivers the best service the industry has to offer," said Bob Kenyon, Executive Vice President, Sales and Business Development.
Atlas Oil Company has been a leading fuel company in the Midwestern United States since its founding in 1985, and is now licensed to operate in 36 states with plans to increase that number to 50 by the end of 2014.
