Taylor, Mich. May 7, 2020– Atlas Oil Company is launching Mobile Fueling services in Indianapolis with plans for continued commercial expansion throughout 2020 as part of its broader growth strategy to diversify its nationwide terminal portfolio.
“When looking at our operations across the U.S., the Indianapolis market was the clear choice to kick off this expansion,” said Atlas’ President, Bob Kenyon. “We’ve built a strong presence in the region servicing retail gas stations through our Bulk Transport operations and the terminal is equipped with the infrastructure, assets and team members needed to support additional growth.”
In 2002, Atlas purchased B&R Oil Co. based in South Bend, IN to become a leading wholesaler in the Midwest. Since then, Atlas has been committed to servicing commercial customers in the Indianapolis region. Today, Atlas’ Indianapolis facility is strategically located between key supply plants and customer locations, and is adjacent to I-465, providing easy access to the highway for efficient order fulfillment. The property is less than a five-hour commute from the organization’s headquarters in Taylor, MI making for an easy shift of assets, equipment and personnel as its regional footprint continues to grow.
Additional office space, DEF and lubricant storage, and dedicated product packaging areas will allow Atlas to quickly scale its Mobile Fueling operations in this core market to key sectors like construction, landscaping, waste management, grocery retailers and fleet-based businesses.
Bulk fuel and tank storage solutions with tank monitoring technology, fleet fueling, specialty event fueling including refrigerated trailers and generators, fuel polishing services and fixed price programs, are a few of the many additions regional customers can expect, in addition to sustained growth in bulk transportation.
“Since our founding in 1985, Mobile Fueling services have been a key revenue driver throughout Southeast Michigan,” said Atlas’ Founder, Chairman & Owner, Sam Simon. “There’s many parallels between the Greater Detroit and Greater Indianapolis areas, and many of our Michigan customers also have locations in Indiana. We’re looking forward to expanding on our existing customer relationships and developing new strategic partnerships across the region.”
Atlas plans to continue expanding its commercial services across the country throughout 2020 and beyond, leveraging its existing terminal network and diversified supply portfolio to bring disruptive, single-source solutions to its nationwide customer base.
