The number of spring severe weather events has been below normal for the past couple of years, especially the number of tornadoes. On average, around 1,300 tornadoes hit the United States each year, according to the Storm Prediction Center. Since 2012, the United States has averaged around 900 tornadoes per year.

This year, the storm centers are predicting that warmer air will be more widespread across the country this season, increasing the instability and the potential for storms.

Storms and other natural disasters are unavoidable, but protecting your business operations with proper planning is a wise undertaking. Atlas Oil formed its Emergency Fuel Solutions team – Emergency Refuel - with this in mind. When developing a plan keep in mind the following:

  • No business is too small to make an emergency plan
  • Identify potential threats and assess the associated risks
  • Plans must be regularly tested and updated
  • Conduct training sessions for employees
  • Ensure all required suppliers, vendors and transporters are capable of meeting your emergency needs – and don’t forget your generators.

Even with back-up generators, if you don’t have access to fuel, your best intentions to be prepared are worthless. With Emergency ReFuel, we have you covered and you will never experience downtime regardless of what causes the interruption.
