From an onsite gym to all-inclusive vacations for company award winners to potlucks and pig roasts, Atlas team members get all sorts of perks when they join the A-Team. While these perks add to the fun and comradery in our nationwide offices, Atlas’ HR team knows that these aspects of company culture do not matter nearly as much as the company benefits package to our team members. That’s why Atlas spends several months each year researching and negotiating with top insurance companies to ensure our team members have the best insurance plans available—without having to absorb the costs.

In a recent LinkedIn study, when asked what would keep them at their current company for 5+ years, respondents said benefits like health coverage and PTO are some of the most likely factors. Almost 4x as many respondents reported having time more time off for holidays is a preferred benefit to perks like game rooms. Atlas takes these insights to heart and constantly looks for concrete solutions for our benefits packages that make a true difference in the lives of our team members.

Atlas’ dedication to caring for the needs of our team members recently earned us the Marsh & McLennan Agency TrendBenderTM award. TrendBendersTM, or organizations with the lowest cost increase averaged over two consecutive years, typically have a 1-3% benefits cost decrease, while Non-TrendBendersTM often see huge increases. In 2017, Non-TrendBendersTM' benefits costs raised an average of 11%.

What do all those numbers mean? They mean that Atlas, year after year, is determined to find additional value for our team members. This, in addition to the new tech and trucks for our drivers, modern conference rooms and equipment for office staff, and snack and barista bars for all to enjoy, are great reasons to join the A Team. But the family-first mentality and friendly coworkers are reasons to stay.
