Donte Bailey joined the A-team as a Tankwagon Driver just over a year ago and has been a driver for close to four years. He’s spent the entirety of his career driving locally and appreciates that Atlas gives him the opportunity to maintain local routes so that he’s able to be home with his family every night.
“Atlas is hands-down the best company that I’ve ever worked for,” Donte said. “The pay and benefits are great, and all the people I work with are so kind and friendly.”
When Donte’s not working at Atlas, you can find him in his hometown of Inkster, MI playing basketball, working out at the gym and spending time with his five kids. “My kids inspire me to do as much as I can in life to be successful,” he said.
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree– Donte says that his work ethic stems from his parents’ example. “From them, I learned the importance of showing up and doing your best every day,” he explained.
Donte’s carried these valuable life lessons into his career at Atlas through the work he does day-in and day-out to ensure that the needs of Atlas’ diverse customer-base throughout Southeast Michigan are fulfilled.
“I love interacting with customers and leaving the yard every day knowing that I’m going to make a difference,” he said. “That’s my favorite part of my job. It’s very rewarding.”
