Terminal & Supply

Atlas Terminal Operations (Tiger Terminal) is a fully integrated liquid petroleum products storage and loading terminal with over 12 million gallons of storage for gasoline, ethanol, and Diesel fuel. It is open to receive and deliver product 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. The loading rack has 2 bays, and can deliver up to 2,400 gallons per minute of assorted products on each bay.

Loading Rack

We are supplied by all 3 common carrier pipelines that supply the Detroit area, Wolverine Pipeline out of Illinois and Indiana, and Buckeye and Sun Pipelines out of Ohio. We also receive nearly 250,000 gallons per day of fuel grade ethanol by rail. The loading rack can deliver 87, 89, 92, and 93 octane gasoline, as well as ethanol and ethanol blended gasoline through automated sequential blenders. Low sulfur # 2 Diesel fuel and dyed low sulfur Diesel fuel are also provided at the loading rack for delivery to our customers. The loading rack is also protected by a fire foam system that would extinguish an accidental fire inside a loading bay, one of only a few terminals in Michigan with this safety system.

Generator

In 2002, we added a 750 kilowatt generator that can power the entire facility. During the August blackout of 2003, it did just that when the terminal provided vital fuel requirements for emergency services, such as hospital generators, police, fire, and other emergency vehicles that had no other available source of fuel. Atlas Terminal was one of only two terminals in the Detroit area with this capability and was written up in several area publications for providing this vital service.

Atlas terminal Operations takes pride in offering the best terminal service in Southeast Michigan. Along with competitive fuel pricing, we offer drivers friendly and helpful service, free coffee, free popcorn, along with periodic free pizza, hot dogs, and sodas during the hot summer months.
